HSBC Chief Executive Georges Elhedery mentioned that the newly introduced leadership structure on Tuesday would ‘unlock our full potential and propel us into future success.
Elhedery, who succeeded former CEO Noel Quinn last month, detailed several senior management changes in a memo to staff, including the appointment of Pam Kaur as the bank’s first female chief financial officer.
Greg Guyett, the CEO of Global Banking and Markets, will transition to a newly created role as chair of the strategic clients group, while Colin Bell, CEO of HSBC Bank plc and Europe, has opted to step down to pursue other opportunities.
