Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal recently shared the story of how he met and fell in love with his wife, Grecia Munoz, on The Kapil Sharma Show. During the episode, which also featured prominent personalities like Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy and his wife Sudha Murty, Deepinder opened up about his love story.
When Kapil Sharma asked about how he met Grecia, who is from Mexico, Deepinder recalled, “I had been single for a long time. My friends would set me up on dates, always telling me not to settle down. When Grecia came to Delhi, a friend called and said, ‘You need to meet her.’ He told me, ‘If you meet her, you’ll end up marrying her.’ I was intrigued.”
The conversation then shifted to the topic of food, with Kapil asking Grecia about her thoughts on Punjabi cuisine. Grecia smiled and said, “I love Indian food because it’s so diverse,” naming Chole Bhature as her favorite dish. Sudha Murthy jokingly commented on the dish’s healthiness, while Kapil teased, “She came from Mexico and fell in love with chole bhature!” Sudha laughed, adding, “And she still stays slim!”
When Kapil asked about Grecia’s first cooking experience in India, Deepinder humorously responded, “Cooking is officially banned in our house. We simply order in,” he said, drawing a nice laugh from the audience given his position in a meal delivery service.
